Runes of Magic spells for the Mage Class

All of the listed skills and spells are for either a Mage primary or a Mage secondary character in Runes of Magic.

The Runes of Magic Mage class has wind and fire damage spells designed to break down opponents. Their skills boost these spells along with stat buffs and items to keep the mage safe in battles (as their armor is merely cloth).

Mages are the magicians and sorceresses of the game, casting exquisite fire and electrical spells with major damage dealing affects. They are great at AoE spells. Many times the mage caster is one of the most sought after in parties, usually second only to the priest. All of the general mage skills are able to be used for Mage primaries and for those that have a mage as a secondary class.

Mage General Skills, Active
These are the skills that will need to be activated or hotkeyed to use effectively in battles. These active spells for the mage give lightning and fire damage with extra opponent weakening skills.

Fireball – A level 4 skill, this will make a ball of fire doing 50 fire damage plus an additional 12.5 damage points for each upgrade.
Lightning – A level 8 skill, this will do a bolt of lightning that does 35.3 wind damage plus 6.9 every level. It will also keep the target rooted for 3 seconds plus 0.21 seconds per upgrade.
Intensification – A level 16 skill, it will give the next offensive spell cast an increase in damage of 45 plus 4.5 per upgrade that will last for 30 seconds.
Silence – A level 20 skill, this will keep the foe silenced for 4 seconds and 0.1 second per upgrade.
Fire Ward – A level 24 skill, this spell will up the resistance to fire for the entire party (and the caster) by 10 for 10 minutes (plus 2 for each upgrade).
Mage General Skills, Passive
These are the skills that do not have to be activated to use, they are always “on”. Currently there is only one passive skill available to the mage in their general skills.

Runes of Magic spells for the Priest Class

All of the listed skills and spells are for either a Priest primary or a Priest secondary character in Runes of Magic

The Runes of Magic Priest class is designed to be the healer of the group. Wearing cloth armor and with a small array of damage dealing attacks on their own they are still able to go through PvE (player versus environment) as well as be in parties for PvP play (player versus player).

The first pick of any party group heading to a dungeon or raid, the priest’s healing abilities are great buffs for the group. These are the general priest skills in Runes of Magic that both the priest primary can use and also the player that has a priest for their secondary character class as well.

Priest General Skills, Active

These are the skills that will need to be activated to work and are best put on a hotkey for quick access.

Rising Tide – This is a level 1 skill that will do 40 water damage to the targeted foe (plus 11.2 for each upgrade).
Urgent Heal – This is a level 1 skill that will give back 35 hitpoints to the target (plus 7 for each upgrade).
Regenerate – This is a level 4 skill that works to regenerate the hitpoints of the target. It will regenerate 20 points every 2 seconds for a total of 20 seconds plus 3.6 for each upgrade.
Holy Aura – This is a level 8 skill that reduces the damage taken. For five seconds there is no damage taken.
Magic Barrier – This is a level 12 skill that for 10 minutes allows everyone in the party to have a 6% buff to magical defense (plus 0.6% for each upgrade).
Blessed Spring Water – This is a level 16 skill that will up the water resistance to the party by 10 for 10 minutes (plus 2 for each upgrade).

Priest General Skills, Passive

Currently there are no passive skills available in the general skills for the Priest class in Runes of Magic. All passive skills for the Priest class are class specific.

The Priest class general skills are good to use as a secondary class to any primary. It will give any class the ability to regenerate hit points and reduce damage, making any primary class chosen even better. For those priest purists, the Runes of Magic priest class makes it a force to be reckoned with by skills like Rising Tide.

Whether choosing the priest class as a primary or a secondary, the general skills are ones that are going to be able to be used no matter what.

General Scout Skills in RoM

Runes of Magic spells for the Scout class

All of the listed skills and spells are for either a Scout primary or a Scout secondary character in Runes of Magic.

Scouts in Runes of Magic are masters of the bow and do wide ranged damage. Most skills for the Scout will deal with statistic buffs and will lower the foes ability to damage the Scout. These general skills will enhance the Scout primary character or be able to be used for those characters that have chosen the Scout as their secondary character.

Scout General Skills, Active
All the active general skills must be on a hotkey or clicked to work, they will not be automatic.

Shot – A level 1 skill, this will do 70% damage per second on ranged weapon and fire one shot at the foe.
Vampire Arrows – A level 4 skill, this does 23.5 damage (with 4.3 additional damage per upgrade). It will also do life leech of 16 hitpoints each two seconds for ten seconds (with 8 additional hp per upgrade).
Joint Blow – A level 8 skill, this both slows the opponent by 40% for four seconds with an increase of 0.1 second for every upgrade, and it will do 16.4 physical damage to that foe (plus 3.3 for each upgrade).
Blood Arrow – A level 12 skill, this reduces hitpoints every 2 seconds for a full minute by 2% (plus 0.1% for each upgrade). The ranged weapon attack is also raised by 10% (plus half a percent per upgrade).
Throat Attack – A level 16 skill, it will interrupt the foe’s casting and will do 16.4 physical damage to the opponent (with an additional 3.3 damage for each upgrade).
Wrist Attack – A level 20 skill, it will reduce the damage that a foe can do to the Scout by 30% for five seconds.

Scout General Skills, Passive
Scout passive skills are “always on” and do not need to be hotkeyed or clicked to work.

Bow Training – A level 1 skill, this will allow the scout to use crossbows and regular bows as their weapons of choice.
Swiftness – A level 24 skill, the character’s dexterity statistic is increased by 10 (plus 1 for each upgrade).
Speed Shooting Mastery – A level 28 skill, the speed that the bow or crossbow shoots is upped by 10% (plus half a percent for every upgrade).

A scout uses these skills to increase their own statistics, decrease the ability to fight from their foe, and will slowly drain the health of those that they oppose. All of these skills are able to be used from those that have chosen a scout as their secondary class as well as those that are playing a Scout primary.

General Knight Skills in RoM

All of the listed skills and spells are for either a Knight primary or a Knight secondary character in Runes of Magic.

Knights are currently the only class in Runes of Magic that allows the wearing of plate armor. This extra boost can really secure the Knight as a tank in battles.

Their skills are designed to take agro and to beef up their durability in game. These general knight skills can be used by Knight primary characters and by those that have a Knight as their secondary class.

Knight General Skills, Active
These are all skills that need to be hotkeyed and active to use, they don’t work passively.

Holy Strike – A level 1 skill, this needs to be activated and it does 40% damage per second for main hand weapon (plus a 3.2% boost per upgrade). It will also add a light seal to the target for ten seconds.
Punishment – A level 1 skill, this also needs activation to work. The skill requires three light seals on a foe, but then will release those seals to do 50 damage (plus an additional 15 per upgrade) and 20 physical damage (plus an additional 2 per upgrade).
Disarmament – A level 4 skill, this can be “stacked” to four on a foe by using it over and over in a row. It will do 50% damage per second on main hand weapon (plus an additional 3.5% per upgrade). Disarmament will also downgrade the foe’s armor by 3% for eight seconds.
Shield of Atonement – A level 8 skill, it makes the Knight’s shield a weapon that does 20 physical damage (plus an additional 5 damage per upgrade). Foes can’t use common or physical attacks on the Knight for 3 seconds (plus 0.1 second per upgrade). This skill is only usable with equipping a shield.
Enhanced Armor – A level 12 skill, it will up the armor stats of the Knight by 5% for 5 minutes (plus 1% for every upgrade).

Knight General Skills, Passive
These are all the skills that work passively and need no activation to have the Knight use them.

Defense Technique – A level 16 skill, it will up the rate of parry by 10 (and 3.4 additional points per upgrade).
Resilience – A level 20 skill, it will up the total stamina by 10 (and 1 additional point per upgrade).
Devotion – A level 24 skill, it will up the total mana points by 30 (and 15 additional points of mana per upgrade).
With passive skills keeping the Knight’s mana, stamina, and ability to parry higher than normal and the range of activated skills, a Knight is a serious PvE or PvP character.

Runes of Magic spells for the Mage Primary

With Runes of Magic’s unique ability to dual class and take on properties of two different character types, the role of the secondary class does many things.

Characters are able to use their general and their class specific skills as their primary, and also able to use their secondary classes general skills. Those that choose Mage for their primary are able to use these class specific skills plus will be wearing cloth armor and have specialized magical abilities. These are the descriptions of the Runes of Magic, or RoM, mage primary character’s skills.

Mage Primary Skills, Level 1-20
These are the skills for the Mage primary that are between the levels of 1 and 20.

Elemental Catalysis – Level 1 – This has an instant cast and enriches the magic damage done by 20% for 20 seconds and it will give 2% mana back every 2 seconds.
Flame – Level 1 – This has a three second cast time and it will give a fireball of 70 fire damage to the target (plus 21 per upgrade).
Electrostatic Charge – Level 2 – This is an instant cast and it will take 40 points of direct damage for a minute (plus 16 per upgrade).
Plasma Arrow – Level 2 – This is a two second cast and it does 40 wind damage (plus 12 per upgrade) and ups the chance of critical magical attack damage by 2 (plus 0.7 per player’s skill level)
Eruption – Level 8 – This is a passive spell that gives flame and fireball spells the ability to possibly explode with more fire damage to the foe.
Electric Bolt – Level 10 – This is a one second cast and it will do 10 wind damage (plus 2.5 per upgrade) and then an extra 8 (plus 3.2 per upgrade) every 2 seconds for 12 total seconds.
Discharge – Level 10 – This is an instant cast and it will do 55 wind damage (plus 13.8 per upgrade) to in range foes plus a stun attack for 5 seconds.
Meteor Shower – Level 14 – This has an instant cast and rains five meteors of 40 magic damage (plus 6.8 per upgrade).
Electric Explosion – Level 16 – This has a two second cast and does 50 wind damage (plus 15 per upgrade) if the player is in a charged state.
Phoenix – Level 18 – This has an instant cast and it will bring forth a phoenix to do 55 fire damage (plus 13.8 per upgrade).
Electric Compression – Level 20 – This has an instant cast and it lets the player store thunder for static field if they are charged.
Static Field – Level 20 – This has a one second cast and will root an enemy to the spot for 10 seconds (plus 0.4 per upgrade).
These lower level class specific skills let the Mage have good damage ability and a summoned item to help them fight.

Mage Primary Skills, Level 22-32
These are the skills for Mage primaries between the levels of 22 and 32.

Wind Knowledge – Level 22 – This is a passive skill that gives you 2 extra wind resistance points (plus 0.4 per upgrade) and 5% more wind damage (plus 1% per upgrade).
Fire Knowledge – Level 22 – This is a passive skill that gives you 2 extra fire resistance points (plus 0.4 per upgrade) and 5% more fire damage (plus 1% per upgrade).
Purgatory Fire – Level 26 – This has an instant cast and gives 45 fire damage (plus 11.3 per upgrade) to those foes in its path.
Energy Influx – Level 28 – This has an instant cast and gives an increased chance of magic attack critical damage of 10 (plus 3 per upgrade) for 30 seconds (plus 1.5 per upgrade).
Energy Well – Level 30 – This is an instant cast and reduces the spells mana cost by 10% (plus 0.5% per upgrade) for a total of 50 seconds.
Elemental Weakness – Level 32 – This is an instant cast and it lowers a foes resistance by 30 (plus 6 per upgrade) for half a minute.
Thunderstorm – Level 34 – This is an instant cast that gives 40 wind damage (plus 10 per upgrade) three times and slows attacks for 5 seconds.

Find Out About How to Get Quests in RoM

We’ll look at how to quest in the new free mmorpg game of Runes of Magic, from finding quests that NPCs will have, to getting in and using the quest interface.

Runes of Magic, the new free MMORPG, has been released and is already host to several U.S. and Worldwide servers full of RPGers questing and skilling up their crafts. There are six character classes in Runes of Magic, and each of these can learn a multitude of crafts and skills. Leveling up consists of killing various creatures and through quests that NPC (non playable characters) will give out throughout the game. There are over 1,000 quests available in the game, and this article will describe how to quest in Runes of Magic (RoM).

Finding and Completing Quests
Question marks will be yellow and will be another link in a quest chain that the player has already started. These question marks will be over an NPC that will need to be talked to in order to further along the quest in question. Exclamation Points will be yellow if the quest can be given at the level the character is already and will be over an NPC that needs to be spoken to in order to get the information about the quest.

Blue exclamation points over an NPC will be daily quests that can be taken up to ten in a day, every day, and will reset after 24 hours. Gray exclamation points are those quests that are not able to be taken at the level that the character is currently. Turn in a quest with those NPCs that have checkmarks. Yellow checkmarks are ready to turn in and gray checkmarks are not ready to be turned in yet.

The Quest Interface
All the quests that have been accepted will be in the Quest Interface, or hotkey of L, and these will tell their level, if they are completed and ready to turn in, or what is required to complete the quest.

Quests that are in green are three levels below your level.
Quests that are yellow are in your level.
Quests that are in red are four levels or higher than your level.
Should the gamer want to leave a quest and not complete it, they can hit the “Abandon Quest” button to leave it and open up another quest slot for them(players can only have 30 quests in the quest log at once).

Various Quests
There are many different types of quest in the Runes of Magic (RoM) game. There are chain quests that have multiple parts, a one time quest that can only be done once, boss quests that are dungeon elite boss killing quests, and there are crafting quests where you will be sent to gather or make an item to complete it.

RoM, also known as Runes of Magic, was released this year to be a free MMORPG game designed to mimic World of Warcraft. Players now have a free alternative that is more in keeping with the style of game play and the graphics that World of Warcraft provided.

In the Runes of Magic game, there are daily quests along with the storyline quests. These daily quests can be down many times, up to a limit of 10 per day. They are generally found on town bulletin boards. The timer on the length of the “day” will reset every real-time day around 9 am EST. They pay out in experience, gold, talent points, and tokens that can be used in the game.

Reifort Point Daily Quests
These are the listing of daily quests that a player can find listed in Reifort Point.

Peace in the Camp (level 1) – The character will have to kill 10 jumping grass to complete this daily quest. It is for 18 experience, 1 talent point, 25 gold, and 10 tokens.

Bargain Purchase (level 3) – The player will need to get 12 gazelle thighs to finish this daily quest. It is for 57 experience, 5 talent points, 59 gold, and 10 tokens.

The Business of Poison (level 5) – The character will have to gather 10 wetland poison frog gall bladders to finish this daily quest. It is for 93 experience, 9 talent points, 130 gold, and 10 tokens.

Band of the Rose Daily Quests
These are the listing of daily quests that can be found in Band of the Rose.

Preservation Act (level 7) – The player will need to gather 8 smooth newt skins to finish this daily quest. It is for 132 experience, 13 talent points, 192 gold, and 10 tokens.

Increase Production (level 7) – The character needs to kill 10 wild scaloks to end this daily quest. It is for 132 experience, 13 talent points, 192 gold, and 10 tokens.

Weis Kattin Daily Quests

Guide to Gathering and Production Skills

In the Runes of Magic free mmorpg game there are several classic RPG game basics. There are quests and mob dungeons, there are different classes of characters that are playable, and there is a system in place of professions.

What Runes of Magic doesn’t have, unlike the others, is the ability to take on all of the professions and not just a select one or two. These professions are in two distinct categories: the gathering professions and the production professions. There is a processing system, but it is part of the gathering category and not a separate system.

Crafting in Runes of Magic
There are four tiers to the crafting system in Runes of Magic. All of the professions, both gathering and production, can be learned to the apprentice level. Only six of those professions can be at the craftsman level. Still only three can be raised to the specialist level and only one may be at the master level. The tiers are as follows:

Apprentice – Levels 1-20 of skill
Craftsman – Levels 21-40 of skill
Specialist – Levels 41-60 of skill
Master – Levels 61 and higher of skill

Recipes in Runes of Magic
Recipes can be found as drops from various mobs and monsters or found on the Auction House for purchase. They are non vendor items, so the recipe is not one that could be bought from an NPC. Typically these are for higher level items.

Recipes can be right clicked to be “read” and learned, if you meet the skill requirement for the recipe. It then will be available to be made or crafted. There are recipes for all of the production professions.

Production in Runes of Magic
There are six production professions currently in RoM. These are Alchemy, Armorsmithing, Blacksmithing, Carpentry, Cooking, and Tailoring.

Alchemy – To make anything the player will need to be at an alchemy station. For this profession the character will create various potions and buffs.
Armorsmithing – To make anything the player needs an armorsmithing station. For this profession the character will be making plate armor, chain armor, and leather armor.
Blacksmithing – To make anything the player will need to be at a Blacksmithing station. For this profession the character will be creating weaponry.
Carpentry – To make anything the player needs a carpentry station. For this profession the character will be making various wands, staves, and bows.
Cooking – To make anything the player will need to be at a cooking station. For this profession the character will be making food that will raise hit points and give temporary buffs.
Tailoring – To make anything the player needs to be at a tailoring station. For this profession the character will be creating cloaks and all cloth armors.
Gathering in Runes of Magic
There are three gathering professions currently in the RoM free online game. These are mining, herbalism, and woodcutting. There is a rumour that fishing will be implemented at a later date.

Mining – To mine you will be gathering ore from nodes. These minerals will be used for different armors and some alchemy recipes.
Herbalism – The player will be gathering herbs from plants. These are used for cooking, alchemy, and various other items.
Woodcutting – The player will be cutting logs from stumps found. These are used for different items such as weapons.
All gathering items also have a processing skill. Mining uses the smelting skill to turn the ore into nuggets, sand, and ingots. Herbalism uses extraction skill to make sap and extracts. Woodcutting will use the additional carpentry skill (not the same carpentry skill that is the production skill) to make lumber, timber, and planks.

Quests: in runes of magic quests will be your best friend, as it is the most efficient way to level both of your classes.With a vast variety of in runes of magic and you’ll have plenty of opportunity to level quickly if you put in the necessary time.

Daily Quests: these are very special quests that you can accept and complete 10 times in a 24-hour period.These are by far the most rewarding quests in the game before leveling.Most of the quests are collecting items from dead monsters and bringing them back to the required NPC for completion.The best way that I’ve found to complete these quests quickly is to calculate how many items you need to collect and grind on the mobs until you have gathered enough to complete the quest 10 times.Then you can just go back and forth excepting and completing quests until your 10 quest limit.However if you have real money to spend in this game you can buy a daily quests reset stone and you can complete daily quests for an additional 10 times.Another very important bonus you get for completing these quests are phirius tokens, they can be used to purchase items in the cash shop of your choosing.

Tip: when doing a 10 daily quests, keep in mind your level and experience needed.In most cases I would recommend taking the time to start completion of these quests on the highest level monsters that you can kill fast and effectively.This will give you more experience than you might not have gotten otherwise and you will level much quicker.Also keep in mind where the NPC location is for the completion of the quest.In a couple instances I found the completion and NPC deep in the heart of much higher level monsters that aggro you.You can also avoid quests that you have to run a mile to complete the quest. would much rather accept and complete quests that are near the daily quests board and towns even though I might get slightly less experience.These are some good tips to consider but overall choice is up to you.

Soloing: in Runes of Magic: soloing does not work as a viable option to level.You will be able to destroy monsters 1 to 2 levels higher or lower of you but you will not see a significant increase in your experience bar.So if you think that you can skip to quests and level grind this just won’t work.

Party Leveling: does a really decent way of leveling your character when you are in a party.With a good tank or off tank, priest primary or secondary with good healing upgrades is great.And a couple damage dealers were high DPS characters are a must when party leveling each others’ characters.The only really effective way of parting leveling is to attack and eliminate mobs that are 6 to 10 levels higher than you.This requires good gear and the ability to cut down these high levels fairly quickly and move to the next.I have been in several of these parties and I’ve decided that unless you truly are tired of questing for that day that doing the daily quests and normal quests are much more efficient when leveling your character.

Leveling a Secondary Class: luckily this game, runes of magic allows you the opportunity to do two sets of quests, one for your primary and one for your secondary based on level.You have a couple options here, you can complete your primary quests for a map and then switch to your secondary class and then complete the quest for the same that.This is what the majority of most players do and it works fine.However I have a lot of success by sticking to my primary class and leveling it to a high-level.Then I took on a series of high-level quests based on my primary level and completing them but not turning them in. You can now switch over to your secondary class and turn in the quest, if you have a significantly lower level of secondary class this is a great way to level up your dual class quickly.You can the same thing with your daily quests.The only downside to this little trick is with the daily, in order to accept a high-level daily quest to power level your secondary is you will have to switch back to your primary class just to accept another quest.

The taborean inhabitants face this awakening of the once living in their very own way: they disguise themselves and join their ranks in haunting the streets.

Join them, and take part in our Halloween event starting this week. Collect candies, hunt the pumpkin or take part in monster parades.

For Halloween, a tasty in-game pumpkin-based event will launch in Runes of Magic.

On Oct. 27, every player will be able to take part in the Taborean Pumpkin Festival.

The high point of the festival will be the event zone at the Oblivion Shrine, where there will be an exciting challenge to master:

Face wild Pumpkin Monsters and crazy Demon Pumpkins, and get points by using the captured seeds to defend yourself against the might of the Halloween fruit.

At the end of each round, those with the most points will be awarded Mad Fire, which can be cashed in for pieces of a special Pumpkin Festival set. The set includes items ranging from transformation drinks to small companions.

If you’re especially successful at bagging the Mad Fire, you also can win up to two rare titles: Let’s Rock! Kaz! and Kaz Madness.

The Pumpkin Festival will run until Nov. 10.
