A few days ago, the General Administration of Press and Publication made an announcement about the termination of the examination and approval of Wow:The Burning Crusade. The announcement required that NTES must immediatly stop their illegal behaviors, collecting fees, registering and correct their mistakes. And the General Administration of Press and Publication will take administrative punishments to NTES according to the relevant law, including stop their internet connection service.

        The relevant principal told the reporters that the General Administration of Press and Publication allowed NTES retest internally its harmful contents since July 30th. In the process of NTES’ application of the agency of the copyright overseas of the automatically filtered online game Wow, the General Administration of Press and Publication considered that there were a lot of data to organize during the operation trnasition. To protect the interests of the players, they also required NTES to restore effectively all kinds of data of the players in the game, but not to charge and offer any registration during the test during the test. And NTES said they totally accept and will execute this.

         But the NTES company charged and offered registrations without the authorization of the General Administration of Press and Publication on September 19th. This made the open beta into reality. This seriously violated the national regulations that online games and internet game works with its copyright overseas automatically filtered must get the aprroval of the General Administration of Press and Publication. For this reason, the General Administration of Press and Publication made this annoucement. And they decided to terminate the examination and approval and decline the application.
